I’ve been smoking cigarettes when drinking for the past year. I will have from one cig to waking up and having no cigs left. I will occasionally smoke a cig when sober to relieve stress or to be social. Whats the best way to limit yourself from any cigarettes when you are drinking? Lately I’ve been trying to not smoke at all when drinking, but have been getting cravings. No haters please. Thank you in advance.
Just try to not be around other people who are smoking, the more days that pass that you are not smoking the easier it wil get. Eventually you will be grossed out by cigarettes and not even want to be around people who are smoking. Good luck!
You are smart to cut out the smoking. What you describe is typical for how people get hooked. It’s a slow, gradual process.
You’ll get cravings beccause you’ve associated the cigs with drinking. The only way is to just resist them. Soon you’ll break the association between drinking and cigs and you won’t even think about them.
Good luck!
They have a non smoking rule in all pubs and clubs in AUS, I dont know where your from, but if your area ban smoking in pubs and clubs to try just to drink at these places. That way you are still in the social setting without the temptation and you can subtitute a smoke for DANCING :)
Its a tough one. I smoke like a chimney while im drinking. I guess get really drunk to the point that you forget to smoke. Its happend to me. LOL.
I am trying to quit smoking too and I found out everytime I have a drink I NEED a cigg. So I am giving up drinking till I can give up smoking.
