I am a non smoker. My neighbors are smoking cigarettes or marijuana or both and I can smell it in my apartment. Is there anything I can do to eliminate the odor?

get some smoke eater candles, and there are a number of Oder eliminating sprays on market, could try sprinkling baking soda around, also open windows when home.

If you have white vinegar, put some in a spray bottle with 2 parts vinegar to one part water and spritz it around the apartment, it will help with the cigarette smell but the smell of vinegar will linger for a little bit till it goes away.

Get an air freshener for your air filter. Each apartment should have it’s own air filter, they are usually located in the ceiling in the hall way. They have flat air freshener/deodorizers that are made to clip directly to your air filter, they only cost about 3 bucks and can be found at home depot, Lowe’s, and walmart. They come in different fragrances. I had a small apartment so I always cut mine in half and used half at a time. They last for two to three months

If the smoke smell is a stale one (not one that is only present sometimes, but is always there), filling a coffee mug or a small bowl with about an inch of white vinegar will help to “eat” the smoke. The vinegar smell will be somewhat overpowering at first, but once it absorbs the intruding odor, it is not.

If multiple rooms of your apartment are smoky, do the same for each room. Being a smoker myself, my personal experiences with “smoke eater” fans a person can purchase have not been impressive. Save your money and spend a buck on a gallon of vinegar first!

One word- Febreeze! I love that stuff. Oh, and some really good air freshener sprays. If you spray them right in front of your neighbor’s door, they work great, lol.
