His lungs have some permanent damage because of the additives to cigarettes. In a month, he may breathe a little easier, but his blood vessels will show improvement. If he starts back up, the first pack and a half will get him back to the point he was when he quit.

Sorry to tell u this but the damage to the lungs differs person to person. My grandma has smoked heavily since she was a teenager and has healthy lungs while my aunt on my mum’s side is sick from second hand smoke.

There is no direct answer to you’re question the best thing is to stop and believe it or not try a sauna to help clear out the lungs. People who live in city areas get heavy black discharge built up in their system that saunas help loosen up.

    everybody is different
but the body starts to heal immediately you give up the cigs
    you feel improvement within 24hrs
you can’t change the past what’s done is done
but there are only advantages to living a healthy life
smoking is just not worth the hassle
and it’s never too late to make a decision to lead a healthy life
people talk about “giving up smoking” believe me you’re not giving up something you will miss, it’s a pain in the arse
