I’ve read in many places that smoking will diminish your sense of smell. But I haven’t found anywhere that explains why. How and why does smoking affect your ability to smell?

Because sometimes when you blow smoke out your nose it hurts the membranes or something. It kinda feels like snorting something if you do it not on purpose.
